Now the imbroglio has been revived for a direct-to-video documentary called
"Blocking 'The Path to 9/11'," produced by right-wing rabble-rouser David Bossie
and directed by former radio host John Ziegler. On its surface, the new video is
a fascinating piece of behind-the-scenes investigative work. But, like the
original telefilm and its quashing by the Clinton camp, it is not without its
own political intrigue. Indeed, "Blocking 'The Path to 9/11'" raises even more
questions and adds its own set of disconnected dots to this broadcasting
dilemma. The new documentary, currently available for sale on its website, will soon be offered at
other locations, with plans also calling for select theatrical screenings in
Southern California to coincide with the seventh anniversary of the Sept. 11
attacks next month. Last week, the film’s worldwide premiere at the Skirball
Cultural Center in Los Angeles...." from Politico.com

Louisville Housing probe by State Auditor
Louisville Housing probe continues
"By our count, there are now four official investigations or reviews into the department's finances and/or its management:
The annual audit of Metro government by Strothman & Co.
A review by city auditor Mike Norman, ordered by Mayor Jerry Abramson.
An investigation by the Louisville Police Department's Public Integrity Unit to determine the merit of allegations made about the department.
And the state auditor's office, which will launch its independent study on Monday.
(A fifth, HUD's annual audit, starts in September.)
In announcing her office's foray into this investigatory mosh pit, which is unprecedented in recent city history, state Auditor Crit Luallen cited headlines about the department, but also pointed to continuing concerns raised in department audits since 2004.
City officials say they welcome scrutiny. They promise full cooperation. They tout transparency. They say they want best practices in place....." A multi probe of Louisville Housing from the Courier-Journal

Obama’s Scandal is Bigger than Edwards’
From Accuracy in Media author Cliff Kincaid:
"Obama’s communist connection, which he failed to disclose in his 1995 book,
Dreams From My Father, by referring to Davis only as “Frank” and ignoring his
communist affiliation, is a far more serious scandal than an Edwards “love
child"
Controversy over the Obama-Davis relationship is growing, at least in the
conservative-oriented media. Rush Limbaugh, who last Thursday commented
on our exposure of the dishonest Associated Press story about Davis, put a link
to the
AIM column on this matter on his website.
Also heavily drawing on our
material, Investor’s Business Daily published an August 5
editorial, “Young Obama’s Red Mentor.” The paper noted that the “cryptic
references” in Obama’s book to this communist mentor “were―and still
are―designed to protect Obama’s background from the scrutiny it deserves.”..."Obama's ScandalAP lies about Obama's Red Mentor

Multi- Millionaire Bruce Lunsford
Disguise: Lunsford Campaign Themes Don't Square With Persona from the Paducah Sun
"The true comprehensive plan for energy independence is the one McConnell
champions day after day in the Senate chamber. It includes, like Lunsford's
plan, clean-coal technology, lifting the ban on developing vast shale oil
deposits and alternative/renewable forms of energy. But unlike Lunsford,
McConnell also calls for increasing nuclear power, the cleanest, most economical source of energy. And he calls for lifting the ban on offshore drilling and
tapping ANWR's vast reserves of recoverable oil.
Unfortunately, Majority Leader Harry Reid thwarts every serious attempt to decrease American dependence on foreign oil. Increasing domestic supply is anathema to Democrats in Congress, who are under the thumb of the environmental lobby. Multi-millionaire Bruce is disguised as a regular Joe. He's apparently intimidated by Kentucky's two largest newspapers, with their reliably liberal editorial pages, hoping they won't pick on him for being rich as long as he rails against others in his tax bracket. It's an unbecoming role for Lunsford. ...." Disguise Lunsford
Senator Mitch McConnell in Danville KY
"Republican Sen. Mitch McConnell said his energy plan would cut oil imports into
the United States in half over time.
The four-term senator promoted his
proposal to encourage more energy production and more conservation in a speech
to the Danville Rotary Club on Friday.
Energy issues have been at the
forefront of McConnell’s race against Democratic challenger Bruce Lunsford, a
Louisville businessman.
Noting the November election, McConnell said Kentucky
would lose considerable influence in Washington if he were replaced by someone
with no seniority in the Senate"..... Senator Mitch McConnell in Danville KY
Pelosi, Pickens plan to pick your pocket
"TV commercials touting a new clean energy strategy and an environmental ballot measure in California have one thing in common: If they succeed, they'll make investors – from "big oil" to the U.S. Capitol – a lot of money.
The ads champion Texas oil billionaire T. Boone Pickens' "Pickens Plan" to move the U.S. from foreign oil dependence to domestically produced wind power and natural gas fuel for automobiles. The plan is touted as a cleaner, more eco-friendly alternative to our current reliance on coal power and gasoline.
The ballot initiative is California's Proposition 10, known as the California Renewable Energy and Clean Alternative Fuel Act, which would spend $5 billion in California bond money – $10 billion by the time the interest is paid, according to the L.A. Times – to promote natural gas as an cleaner alternative for automobile and truck fuel.
Not surprisingly, the nation's largest provider of natural gas for transportation, Clean Energy Fuels Corporation, or CLNE, has a great deal to gain from the adoption of Pickens' fuel strategy and the passage of Proposition 10. In fact, according to the California Secretary of State website, CLNE has contributed $3,247,250 to supporting Proposition 10's passage.
CLNE, however, was formerly known as Pickens Fuel after its primary investor, T. Boone Pickens.
While Pickens touts a plan in the name of environmentalism that will also line his company's pockets, a #dontgo investigation has revealed that another environmental champion and backer of Proposition 10 has also invested in CLNE: House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.
According to the investigation, Pelosi purchased $50,000-$100,000 in CLNE stock on May 25, 2007, apparently on its initial public offering.
Now the House speaker stands to make a large profit on her reported 22,000 shares of CLNE if she and other public figures can persuade the people of California to vote for Proposition 10 in the name of renewable energy and clean, alternative fuels. from : World Net Daily

Infanticide Revisited, Obama's position
"Barack Obama wants to move closer to Catholics, or more accurately, wants Catholics to move closer to him. Despite a track record of abandoning all limits for on-demand abortion, Obama plans to argue that he actually is a moderate on the topic. He has repudiated criticism for his vote on an Illinois bill that would have required practitioners to give normal medical attention to infants born alive during an attempted abortion by claiming that it lacked a pre-birth neutrality clause that was included in a bill adopted unanimously by the US Congress in 2002.
The National Right to Life Committee now claims that Obama lied about the bill in order to provide cover for his support of infanticide:......" Infanticide Revisited
"Clearly, Obama lied about his position. It’s no small rhetorical matter, either. His vote puts him on the extreme of the pro-abortion camp, so extreme in fact that not a single member of Congress would follow his example. Obama voted to allow Christ Hospital and other facilities performing abortions to allow live children to die." from HotAir.com

Top 10 reasons Obama voted against the Illinois Born Alive Infant Protection Act
...This post is from Jill Stanek at Illinois Review
"
Here are the top 10 reasons Barack Obama has variously stated why he voted against Illinois' Born Alive Infant Protection Act when state senator.
10. Babies who survive their abortions are not protected by the Equal Protection Clause of the Constitution. Speaking against the Born Alive Infant Protection Act on the IL Senate floor on March 30, 2001, Obama, the sole verbal opponent to the bill stated:
... I just want to suggest... that this is probably not going to survive constitutional scrutiny.
"Number one, whenever we define a previable fetus as a person that is protected by the equal protection clause or the other elements in the Constitution, what we're really saying is, in fact, that they are persons that are entitled to the kinds of protections that would be provided to a - child, a nine-month-old - child that was delivered to term. That determination then, essentially, if it was accepted by a court, would forbid abortions to take place.
I mean, it - it would essentially bar abortions, because the equal protection clause does not allow somebody to kill a child, and if this is a child, then this would be an antiabortion statute. For that purpose, I think it would probably be found unconstitutional...."

$10 gallon gas doesn't change Senates mind
"There was a rather extraordinary confrontation on the Senate floor Thursday involving offshore oil drilling that got very little press coverage.
Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Kent.) tried to get Democrats to vote on a measure that would open up such drilling if the price of gasoline reached a certain level.
Although the "bidding" eventually reached $10 a gallon, Colorado's Ken Salazar continually objected. ...." News Busters
