New Poll: Kentucky senate seat stays Republican

Mitch McConnell attacks terrorism policies
Mitch McConnell attacks terrorism policies:
"Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell on Wednesday accused the White House of being more concerned about a messaging strategy than prosecuting a war against terrorism.
In a blistering speech to the conservative Heritage Foundation, the Kentucky Republican issued his toughest criticism yet of President Barack Obama's efforts to handle terrorists, saying he has a "blind spot" when it comes to fighting terrorism and citing the administration's handling of the attempted Christmas Day bombing.

RedState & Mark Kirk
"Redstate and Mark Kirk"
""First, let me say that I can certainly emphathize with anyone who can’t donate to or vote for Mark Kirk. To begin with, Kirk is pro-choice, and my own personal pro-life convictions prevent me from donating to or voting for any avowedly pro-choice candidates. Furthermore, it has long been RedState site policy to only endorse pro-life candidates, and that will not change in this race. Furthermore, Kirk has cast a number of other votes (most recently on cap-and-tax) that have infuriated conservatives of all stripes. I don’t believe anyone here at RedState would begrudge our readers some honest objections to supporting Kirk.."RedState

Kentucky House approves "In God We Trust" plate
"The Kentucky House passed legislation Monday creating a new standard-issue license plate with the nation's motto, “In God we Trust.”
House Bill 100 would make the plate available to all drivers at no extra cost.
If the measure becomes law, drivers would be allowed to choose either the “In God we Trust” plate or the current standard issue “Unbridled Spirit” plate.
The bill passed the House on a vote of 93-1 with only Rep. Mary Lou Marzian, D-Louisville, voting against it. It now goes to the Senate...." Courier-Journal

GOP Tuesday Target Ads
"Liberal interest groups spent nearly $600,000 to convince Republican senators that they should back the Democrats' $900 billion economic stimulus package. The way numbers are flying around these days, this half a mil (and then some) probably sounds like chump change. Sens. Kit Bond (Mo.) and Richard Lugar (Ind.) , Sens. Jim Bunning (Ky.), Richard Burr (N.C.), and Mel Martinez (Fla.) are targets for the ads. ..." from Townhall.com
