Sarah Palin speaks to Louisville crowd of 16,000 at Freedom Hall

from the Courier Journal & Conservatives for Palin
Sarah Palin told a Freedom Hall crowd of about 16,000 Friday night that she was there to inspire women in their faith, not to talk politics.

But the 2008 Republican candidate for vice president acknowledged she couldn’t help but do the latter, saying politics “courses through my veins.”

She denounced this week’s Wisconsin federal court ruling that government observance of a National Day of Prayer was unconstitutional — which the crowd joined in booing. She asserted that America needs to get back to its Christian roots and rejected any notion that “God should be separated from the state.”

“Hearing any leader declare that America isn’t a Christian nation and poking at allies like Israel in the eye — it is mind-boggling to see some of our nation’s actions recently, but politics truly is a topic for another day,” Palin said.

Sarah Palin: The Pelosi Bill Was Rammed Through on Saturday, But Sunday’s Coming

Why did she push the 2,000 page bill this weekend? Was she perhaps afraid to give her peers and the constituents for whom she works the chance to actually read this monstrous bill carefully, if at all? Was she concerned that Americans might really digest the details of a bill that the Wall Street Journal has called “the worst piece of post-New Deal legislation ever introduced”?..."

Anti-abortion groups applaud Sarah Palin

"When she learned of Trig's diagnosis while on an out-of-state trip, Palin said she thought, "Wow, it is easy. It could be easy to think maybe of trying to change the circumstances. And no one would know. No one would ever know."

Ultimately, Palin said she decided she was going to have to "walk the walk" and remain faithful to her long-standing opposition to abortion. But she said that the experience had helped give her an "understanding for ... why someone might believe it would be possible to change those circumstances. Just make it all go away."

"I had just enough faith to know that trying..."read more Washington Post
